I just need to get something out there. I’ve been the dumper quite a few times in my life, and haven’t been the dumpee in many years. Almost my entire adult life. I guess I’d almost forgotten what it feels like.

I’m glad to have the feeling again, if only to help me be a better, more compassionate human being. I think I’ve learned more about communication over the past few years, the past few months in particular, than in the rest of my whole life. And it has helped me every time I’ve been in a bit over my head. Times like these included. So I’m fine.

But the thing I need to get out is that I’m deeply, deeply disappointed. I really thought this could have been a good one.
