Scott and I haven’t gone very far lately. We left Joey and Alice’s too late to get much driving done on Monday, and have been lazy ever since, getting up past noon and trying to make camp before it gets dark out.

Today we procrastinated by having a long discussion about death. I think it was really interesting for both of us but it culminated with him saying I was childish and me calling him delusional, so it took out a lot of energy. We ended up not traveling very far again and we’re now camping on the Mississippi river. Pretty cool.

We also visited the birthplace of Laura Ingalls Wilder, the author of the Little House on the Prairie books, and according to Scott an apparently super-duper famous author. Culture 1 Brendan 0.
