Past Time on the GPS Set Up
Thanks to the Prez, I stimulated the economy by buying a GPS system for my motorcycle. Enjoy, Taiwan! So, this is pretty ridiculous, but I hadn’t installed power hookup for it yet. I tried to get it done in DC but didn’t have enough time to schedule it. So for the past few weeks I’ve been charging it and running it on battery.
Anyway this felt stupider and stupider every time I had to turn the thing off to conserve energy so finally I broke down and installed it myself even though the warranty depends on it being installed professional. Screw that, it turned out to be super easy- I just had to connect the wires to the battery terminals, stow the extra wire and included fuse and snake the power cable under the tank and through the handle bars to the mount. Besides, how would they know if I voided the warranty unless I wrote about it on my blog or something?
It’ll be sick now cause since it’s on all the time I can track our route and other stuff like that. Still won’t use it for all the directions though- too much fun to figure those out ourselves when possible. The thing comes in handy for that too.
