Great Drive Yesterday
Yesterday Scott and I drove from Gettysburg all the way to Salamanca, New York. The drive was my best motorcycle driving ever- very curvy, with long portions up and down big hills, which we could just coast down for miles. One weird moment- a gigantic white cross standing on a hillside all on its own, confronting all who drive by it.
Never understood the impulse to do that. BELEIVE IN JESUS! I, THE CROSS ON THE HILL, BESEACH YOU! I suppose the hope is that it’ll be striking enough that a person will be shocked into faith? Lots of examples of that in the Bible… personally I’d trust God to do that kind of work.
Anyway the only thing I was struck with was the thought that I need to be taking more pictures.

The White cross is a symbol for a death at it’s base, usually posted by a family member or loved one when someone dies in a car crash or something similar. Feel free to believe in Jesus upon sight, but also take it as a reminder to go easy on the bikes.
That’s all my mothering for now. Punch Scoots in the arm for me.
As much as I love your mothering on this one….this cross was about 500ft up on the sheer side of a mountain surrounded by forest. My arm hurts.
