Why We’re Fat

Since 1985, fruits, vegetables, and grains are more expensive while sugars, fats and oils, and soft drinks have become cheaper. Between this and the fact that our entire country is covered with corn fields, its become easier and cheaper to eat mass-produced garbage. This kind of thing is infuriating- as a lazy lazy man, when I go to a convenience store at 2 in the morning to grab something to eat, why can’t I find anything but microwaveable junk? If that stuff wasn’t pumped so full of corn syrup it would taste like paste and cardboard. Our ancestors wouldn’t even recognize it as edible.
I don’t need a salad. I’m not on a diet. I just want cheap sustenance that somewhat resembles real food.
