Couldn’t have said it better. Ann Coulter is an embarassment to humanity and a noxious influence on our public discourse, but she’s also miserable at convincing anyone who doesn’t already agree with her. She exists simply to gain exposure for her books and speaking appearences, and she does so by being attractive (in a creepy Skeletor kind of way) and outrageously offensive. The more she fires up the left, the more books she sells, and the way to combat that dynamic is to stop paying attention to her (this applies to so many other things- I’m looking at you Churches that Protest Movies). Perhaps it’s human nature, but it’s unfortunate that we liberals have so much trouble ignoring the bait. Well, I’m comitted to doing my part, starting now:
